Spoiler Alert: It Ends Well

Well after a several month hiatus I am finally back in my hair care stride and things are going better than ever.  A few months ago I declared:  Arm Pit Length!!!  When I first made it there it was really just in a few sections and it looked good, but I was just barely there.  Today I'm at a full Arm Pit and it's looking better than ever!

What have I been up to lately?  Nothing much.  The end of the summer, early fall was filled with personal projects so hair has been a last priority.  I've continued relaxing ever 8-10 weeks with protein treatments in between, washing/co-washing every week (1 or the other), and no deep conditioning.  I think it was all the bunning and a lack of heat that really got me to where I am today.  My bangs have grown back out and all of my strands are longer.
If you'll also recall, a few months ago I announced I was going Natural!!!!  That was also put on pause.  Natural products can be pretty expensive and I had other priorities, LOL.  I am now happy to say that after first purchasing some Shea Moisture Products for my cousin and hearing the rave reviews, I finally purchased some for myself and used it right before the holidays.  Let me also add that prior to that purchase, I had just bought a huge tube of conditioner because it was cheap and I figured it'd get the job done for a while... Oh no.  My hair felt cheap, looked cheap, and did not behave at all! Please stay away from Proclaim Cholesterol.

Major Fail!
It only cost about $4 for 9 ozs, so I should have known better.  But do not be deceived by the imitations!  So after using that for about 2-3 weeks and wondering why my hair looked and acted a mess, I finally went ahead and purchased the Shea Moisture products:  Restorative Conditioner and Moisture Retention Shampoo.
Heaven in a Bottle
I have a friend who has used them before, but it took this most recent incident to get me to invest the $9.99 per bottle.  It was like day and night, my hair immediately felt moisturized and loved!  It hadn't felt this way in a while.  I did a little trim-age and my hair was perfect for Thanksgiving.

I Always End Up Pulling my Hair Back by the End of the Day...  Hi Family!
So I'm back to work now and ready to hit the next goal, Mid Back Length Hair.  Even though there are times where I feel like my hair is long enough, I still think I want to continue.  When it's healthy, there's just nothing that compares to wearing it down and looking great. :)
