V-Day Flowers hand delivered by my Hubby |
It's February... the month of love, black history month, and now - the month I always get bangs, LOL. This is year 2 of the v-day bang (no pun intended) and I'm loving it. After desiring, wishing, and hoping that I had the balls to change my hair, I finally went through with it... over the course of a couple weeks.
One Saturday night, I started experimenting with how much to cut. As you can see my hair has made a full recovery in the past 8 months -- further proving my theory that the top half of my head is on miracle grow. The last time I had my v-day bangs, they were very thin and I couldn't do much with them - outside of wearing them as bangs. And I hated that fact that you could see through them to my forehead. I wanted thick and luxurious bangs. With this in mind, I kept moving my part farther and farther back... until I was comfortable. And then CUT!
I was a wimp... |
So I started again, and kept cutting inch by inch. Little by little until I found a length that I was comfortable with - and I clipped a few ends in the process...
The final results are not quite "bang length" bangs, but I'm super happy with the result and the styles I've been able to rock.
I can wear my hair down without it being layered! |
Or I can curl it up and have hair that looks layered! |
cute!!
